Helping my wife, Rebecca through her recovery, I’ve learned a lot. Thankfully, the deficits caused by Rebecca’s stroke are not as severe as many, but we have met many who have been faced with all of the same struggles we have, and more.
Through this site, I want to share what I’ve learned through our own experience and those of others. While the ideas, tips, and life hacks I plan to offer may not solve anyone’s challenges completely, I would find extreme pleasure to know that any of the suggestions helped just one survivor or one care giver.
I’ve shared some details about her stroke, her swift treatment (see blog posts); and will share more on Rebecca’s road to recovery we’ve been on since September 4, 2018, 5:03pm. I plan to also post articles about
- lessons learned
- the importance of sleep
- project ideas to make your home more recovery-friendly
- extra hacks and tech that can boost your recovery
- and more
I want the site to serve as a practical resource for stroke survivors and their caregivers. I am not a medical professional, but I have lived through this life-changing cerebrovascular accident with my wife at every step, and I have a strong desire to help other survivors and their caregivers navigate their recovery. So, with that, please check back as I figure out this whole web site thing… and send me your questions, suggestions, comments, or feedback. I’m sure I won’t always have an answer, but if I am a step ahead of you, I’m happy to share what we’ve learned and what.
I’ll be talking to you again soon.
